Privacy Policy

FretBoardMastery does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. It has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts, and no network connections of any kind.

Microphone

FretBoardMastery asks for microphone access so it can hear the notes you play on your instrument and tell you whether you played the right one.

Audio is analysed on your device, in real time, to work out the pitch of what it hears. It is never recorded, never written to storage, and never sent anywhere. Nothing leaves your device, because the app makes no network requests at all.

You can refuse microphone access and still use the app. Choose “I’ll tap the fretboard” on the welcome screen and answer drills by tapping instead of playing. You can also revoke access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone.

What is stored on your device

Your practice progress, streaks, belt rank, selected instrument, and preferences are saved on your device so they survive between sessions. This data stays on the device. It is not backed up to any server operated by us, and it is deleted when you delete the app.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Third parties

There are none. FretBoardMastery contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no crash reporters. The only third-party code is the AudioKit audio-processing library, which runs entirely on your device and sends nothing anywhere.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
